With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James M. Freitag of Taylorville, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on September 7, 2021 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William P. Freitag and Ruth G. Freitag (Niehart); his wife Sharon L. Gibson; and his brother Glenn William Freitag. He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Jacoby (Mark) of Taylorville and Bonnie Kastl (Greg) of Normal; his grandchildren, Kaytlin Jacoby of Taylorville, Phillip James Kastl of Normal and Alexander George Kastl of Normal; and his brother Richard Freitag (Barb) of Springfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Christian County Animal Control.
