He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Smith and Lillian Smith (Barr); and his brother Robert Smith. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kay Weedman; his daughter Tonya Packingham (Rex); his grandsons, Taylor Roberts, Tanner Roberts (Jalynn) and Trevin Packingham; his great grandchild Luna Roberts; and his brother Joe Smith.
