He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Garren and Mildred Evelyn Garren (Banks); his wife Mary Kathryn "Kay" Burgener; his siblings, Mary Elizabeth Garren, Donald Garren, Kenneth Garren, Francis Garren, Margaret Smith and Phyllis Irvin; and his son-in-law Gary Jones.
He is survived by: his children, David Garren of Brainerd, Harry Garren Jr. of Petaluma and Regina Jones (Robert Gipson) of Taylorville; his grandchildren, Frank Garren, Mary Johnston, LeeAnn Wheeler, Matthew Garren, Logan Jones, Kaylee Howe (Tanner), Tanner Jones (Kailee Griffith) and Dylan Jones (Tayler Argo); and his great grandchild Oakley Jones. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (116 W Adams St, Taylorville, IL 62568). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
