It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon McKinney of Taylorville, Illinois, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on October 27, 2020, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence McKinney. He is survived by: his mother Patricia McKinney (Crowder); his wife Sherri McKinney of Taylorville; his children, Cortney McKinney (Will Sommer) of McKinney, TX and Chance McKinney of Taylorville; his pet Rupert; his stepfather Joe DiYorio of Lovington; and his siblings, Anna Baxter (Donald) of Bethany, Pamela Barker (Tim) of Bethany, Laura Reed (James) of Sullivan, Mary Rubush (Edward) of Sullivan, Rev. Novella Parke of Nipomo, CA, Daniel McKinney (Teresa) of Charleston and Joshua McKinney (Tara) of Allenville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many close friends.
