It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene A. Durbin of Taylorville, Illinois, born in Palmer, Illinois, who passed away on October 15, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle V. Durbin and Daisy L. Skinner; his wife Carolyn J. Durbin; and his sister Shirley Durbin. He is survived by: his children, Sharon Travis (Jim Sullivan) of Taylorville, IL, Tom Durbin (Tonya) of Morrisonville, IL and Bo Durbin (Joy) of Taylorville, IL. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
