He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank E. Hornbeck and Bertha May Hornbeck (Gelsinger); his grandson Tim Crisp; and his siblings, Marie Jewel, Harold Hornbeck, Irene Gill, Evelyn Vaughn and Wayne Hornbeck.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Vanzant; his children, Allen Hornbeck (Patricia) of Champaign and Brenda Seeley (Michael) of Taylorville; his grandchildren, Jimmy Crisp (Paula), Billy Crisp, Emily Przyborski (Michael) and Brian Hornbeck (Rebecca); his great grandchildren, Xander, Hazel, Evan, Layla, Kira and Alyssa; and his sister Velma Langen of Farmersville.
