Edna Pearson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edna Pearson of Taylorville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 27, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Stanley Hancock and Ova Hancock (Matheny); her husband Paul Eldon Pearson; her children, Marie Watts and James Bantner; her grandson Nicholas Santini; her sister Leta Bauer; her great grandchild Gary Rogers III; and her son-in-law Michael DeMars.
She is survived by: her children, Paul Pearson (Becki) of Smyrna, Stan Bantner of Springfield, Patricia Santini of Euless, Paula Johnson of Bedford, Wreatha Joy DeMars of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Charles Pearson (Tammy) of Decatur; and her sister Avo McMillen of Pana. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church (1919 N 1000 East Rd, Taylorville, IL 62568). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
