He is survived by: his wife Pat McDonald of Taylorville; his children, Jean Ann McDonald of Edinburg, Christopher Thomas McDonald (Elizabeth) of Urbana, Charles James McDonald (Paula) of Lake Charles, Mary Michele "Mickey" Emerson (Frank) of Taylorville, Patricia Jo Ruckstuhl (Robert) of New Berry, Kathleen Marie Johnson (David) of Owings Maryland, David Vincent McDonald of Taylorville, Karen Mills (Don) of Taylorville and Diana Damarin of Taylorville; his grandchildren, Christopher Giles McDonald, Gregory Michael McDonald (Magdalena), Franklin Thad Emerson (Kayla), Brian McCain (Courtney), Jennifer Swann (Adam), Sarah Negroni (Luis), John Damarin (Jeni) and Brandon Mills; and his great grandchildren, Alphie McDonald, Cecilia McDonald, Issac McDonald, Kolbe McDonald, Max McDonald, Otto McDonald, Elizabeth Emerson, Frankie Emerson, Ruthie McCain, Sophia McCain, William Swann, Henry Swann, Hazel Swann, Chris Olivier, Chance Negroni, Brittany Ervin, James Wynn, Alayjah Negroni, Kyla Thomas and Josiah Negroni. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
