He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Lee and Myrtle Margaret Greer (Castening); his wife Mary Ellen Mahon; his stepmother Georgia Greer; his siblings, Dean, John David, Helen, Betty, Elaine and Kenny; and his stepbrother Marvin Heather.

He is survived by: his brother-in-law Paul Bunyard; his daughters, Annette Berry (James) of Aberdeen, Washington, Sue Reeves of Sun City, Arizona and Shirla Short of Springfield, Illinois; his grandchildren, Jason, Ryan, Erin, Tracy and Rebecca; and his stepsister Donna Chrisman of Vandalia, Illinois..

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, donations be made in Henry's honor to the Greenville VFW. Please, mail memorial contributions to the Greenville VFW, Post #1377, 2043 S. 4th St., Greenville, IL 62246.
