He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Hallers and Nina Hallers (Rufus); and his sister Lula Calhoun. He is survived by: his wife Wilma Garmon; his children, Brenda Steele of Raymond, IL, Connie Calufetti (David Jr.) of Virginia Beach, VA and Bruce Hallers of Litchfield, IL; his grandchildren, David Calufetti III, Shannon Harris, Todd Steele and Sara Jenkins; and his sisters, Barbara Camfield, Donna Moler and Patricia Hallers. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to Taylor Springs Fire Department.
