He was predeceased by: his parents, George Russell and Loretta Jones (O'Neill); and his siblings, Larry, Wayne Jones and Joyce Chard.
He is survived by: his wife Randa; his children, Paula Nitz (Dave), Joe Jones (Julie) and Erie; his grandchildren, Kalli Anson (Mike), Sara, Chad Nitz, Hayley, Mya and Aylah Jones; his great grandchildren, Laikynn and Brycin Anson; his siblings, Patricia Devaney, Milan, Donald Jones (Paula) and Davenport; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Jones and Daryl Chard. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Memorials may be made to University of Iowa – Stead Family Children's Hospital.
