He was predeceased by: his parents, Addison Rursch and Edith Rursch (Johnston); and his siblings, Duane Rursch, Lois Anderson, Orville Rursch and Clair Rursch.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Rursch; his children, Julie Rursch (Brian Brace), Lori Rohlfing (Roger) and Darrin Rursch (Keri); his grandchildren, Anna Lammi (Zachary), Austin Rohlfing, Kathryn Rohlfing, Ella Rursch and Amelia Rursch; and his brothers, Marvin and John Robert Rursch.
Memorials may be made to the Edgington Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the National World War II Museum, New Orleans, or the Rockridge Academic Awards.
