It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norden W. Scanlan of Tampico, Illinois, born in Rock Falls, Illinois, who passed away on October 3, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Scanlan and Cecelia Scanlan (Martenson); and his siblings, Amaryllis "Mick" McNinch, Avalon Clayton, Ronnie Scanlan and Larry Scanlan.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Scanlan of Tampico; his children, Nim Scanlan (Sally) of Rock Falls, Jeffrey Scanlan (Terri) of Sterling, Shari Bennett (Randy) of Prophetstown, Kristi Wiederin (Dan) of Tampico and Kevin Scanlan (Donna) of Tampico; his sister April Ransom (Mike) of Lyndon; his grandchildren, Nolan Scanlan (Ashley), Travis Scanlan (Leah), Leslie Arquilla (Ryan), Laura Wheeler (Matthew), Heather Bennett, Brooke Bennett, Joshua Wiederin (Morgan), Evan Scanlan (Katelynn), Riley Scanlan and Caden Scanlan; and his great grandchildren, Oden, Evelyn, Bryce, Brant, Peninnah, Oren, Noelle, Adalyn, Nora, Alexis, Noah and Kyleigh.
