It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ned L Thompson of Tampico, Illinois, born in New Bedford, Illinois, who passed away on June 27, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Thompson and Lulu Thompson (Rasmussen); his sister Carol Hassler; and his brothers-in-law, Bob Lauritzen, Mark Newman and David Hassler.
He is survived by: his wife Renie Hofterheiden; his children, Nadine Eveland (Blaine), Norman Thompson (Melissa) and Ned Thompson (Carol); and his siblings, Peggy Hassler of Walnut, Joyce Lauritzen of Tampico, Susan Newman of Tampico and Dan Thompson (Bonnie) of Princeton. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
