He was predeceased by: his parents, Lafayette Bowden and Vernita Cherry-Bowden; his brothers, Bobby Bowden and Sherman Bowden, Sr.; his mother-in-law Katherine "Rene" Pillow; and his close friend Clifford Jackson, Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Bowden of Sandusky; his children, Veronica Stokes (Michael) of Cape Girardeau and Corey "Nick" Bowden of Sandusky; his sister Maggie White of Memphis; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Pillow (Twyla) of Springfield, Jeffrey Pillow of Sandusky, Doris Welch of Sandusky and Terri Pillow of Sandusky. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
