He was predeceased by: his mother Janice Gearing (Harp). He is survived by: his father David Gearing (Patricia) of Tamms; his husband Nathaniel Holmes of Alton; his children, Brianna (Brendan Cox), Halle Gearing (Gary Anderson) of Caseyville and Zachary Kindle of Wood River; his grandchildren, Cereniti Cox, Dominic Gearing and Gunner Cox; and his brother Matthew Gearing of Eugene. He is also survived by many other extended family and friends.
