Geneva Merryman Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 4, 2024, at the age of 90, Geneva Merryman of Tamms, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Merryman and Dot Merryman (Latomandeer); and her siblings, LaVelle VanHouten, Betty Pearson, Vernell Owens, Dorothy Garrett and Willard Merryman.
She is survived by: her sisters, Margie Williams and Annie Rice; and her nieces and nephews, Carol Ramage (Joseph), Shelly Britt (Robert), Penny Rice, Denise Antrobus, Karen Sheets (Matt), Penny Agan, Stacy VanHouten, Sharon Shew, Mike Merryman (Penny), Keith Merryman, Steve Williams, Jeff Williams (Gayla), Ty Garrett (Sue), Shannon Garrett (Marvelene), Stanley Owens, Tony Rice (Liz) and Joseph VanHouten. She is also survived by Several other relatives including great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Crain Funeral Home - Tamms (420 Front St, Tamms, IL 62988). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the East Prarie Memorial Park East Prairie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to East Prairie Memorial Park. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
