She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Brown and Cassie Brown (Holmes); her husband John Butcher; her daughter Sue Jacobs Byrd; her sister Vivian Kinder; her grandson Jason Jacobs; and her niece Adele Fish.
She is survived by: her sons, Jerry Jacobs (Joann) of Tamms and Tony Jacobs (Charlene) of Waterloo; her stepchildren, John M. "Butch" Butcher (Carolyn) of Tamms and Teresa Stiff (Kenny) of Olive Branch; her grandsons, Troy Jacobs (Christina) of Cape Girardeau and Michael Jacobs (Danielle) of Saint Louis; and her nephew Curtis Jacobs of Thebes. She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Old Thebes Cemetery.
