He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Houston and Josephine Williams; his siblings, Bonnie, Eve and Daniel; and his grandson Amir Fenner.
He is survived by: his brother Phillip of Buffalo; his former wife Nelly Houston of Evansville; and his children, Ariel Houston of Marion, Illinois, Kishon Hyte of Evansville, Indiana, Shamir Houston of Springfield, Missouri, Samuel Houston of Mound City, Illinois, Gabriel Houston (Anatosha Houston) of Evansville, Indiana, Tekoa Holloway (David Holloway) of Florissant and Amber Houston of Merrillville, Indiana.. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild with a host of nieces and nephews.
