Robert J. Zettler Sr. Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 14, 2020, at the age of 88, Robert J. Zettler Sr. of Tamaroa, Illinois, born in Du Bois, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Zettler and Elda Zettler (Miller); his wife Helen Swallers; his children, Robert J. Zettler, Jr. and Kathy Zoller; his grandson Byron Epperheimer; and his siblings, Tommy Zettler, Harold "Dean" Zettler, George "Boonie" Zettler, Loretta Gladson and Viola Dublo.

He is survived by: his children, Brenda Gray (Richard Gray) of West Frankfort, Gary Zettler (Sue) of Tamaroa and Heather England (John) of Boonville, IN; his sisters, Anna Mae Loucks of Sesser and Edna Morgan of Kansas City, MO; and his grandchildren, Robert "Bobby" Lemmons, Jr. of Du Quoin, Danny Lemmons (Tabitha) of Carmi, Jamie Zettler of Smithville, TN, Kelsie Mayo (Anthony) of Boonville, IN, Devan Summers of Tamaroa, Jacob Summers of Du Quoin, Brandon Summers of Du Quoin, Zoe Mare of Steeleville, Baylee Mare of Boonville, IN, Holly Zimmerman (Davey) of Dowell and Sherry Aldridge (Aaron) of Elkville. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and two great great granddaughters.

Everyone in attendance will be required to observe Illinois social distancing guidelines, and all attendees will be required to wear a mask.
