It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Bryan Opp of Tamaroa, Illinois, born in Du Quoin, Illinois, who passed away on September 18, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Bryan and Ruth Esther Opp (Morrow); his brothers, William Opp and Donald Opp; and his granddaughter Andrea Ashbrook.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Ruth Bookstaver; his children, Gay Lynn Manning (Frederick) of O'Fallon and R. Scott Opp (Heather) of Tamaroa; his grandchildren, Emily Grace Peterman (Austin), Alexandra Hope Ashbrook, Allison Joy Ashbrook, Shania Dawn Opp and Dylan Robert Opp (Savannah); his great grandchildren, Tatum Renee Opp and B. Robert Opp; and his brother Gale Newton Opp (Julie) of Tamaroa.
Friends may make memorials to Friendship Church of Christ or Alzheimer's Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
