It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Belle Farthing of Tamaroa, Illinois, born in Du Quoin, Illinois, who passed away on March 18, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward James and Claira Belle Osborn (Farthing); her spouse Jessie Raymond Farthing; her son Jessie Dale Farthing; and her brother Carl Edward Osborn.

She is survived by: her sons, Raymond Edward Farthing (Chris) of Tamaroa, Richard Larmon Farthing (Kimberly) of Tamaroa and Randall Eugene Farthing (Kimberly) of Tamaroa; her brother Robert Earl Osborn (Susie) of Mulkeytown; her grandchildren, Brandi Bastien (Everette), Ryan Farthing (Shelby), Jared Farthing (Alexa), Justin Farthing (Jennifer), Joshua Farthing (Chelsea) and Jessica Boan (Jonathan); and her great grandchildren, Raiden Farthing, Raia Farthing, Jaelyn Farthing, Oliver Farthing, Hunter Valentine, Jase Valentine and Jaxon Boan.

Friends may make memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois or American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
