Lois Virginia Morgenstern Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lois Virginia Morgenstern of Tamaroa, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 1, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Carl Kuhnert, Roy Kuhnert, Robert Kuhnert, Melvin Kuhnert, Ida Belle Beckman and Alberta Kuhnert; and her grandson-in-law Allen Davison III.
She is survived by: her husband Karl Morgenstern; her children, Bradley Karl Morgenstern (Kathi) of Tamaroa and Retta Harriet Speith (Gerald) of Ava; her grandchildren, Holly Keller (Scott) of Shiloh, IL, Nathan Morgenstern of Du Quoin, Kara Davison of Fulton, MO, Rebecca Stroud (Doug) of Wentzville, MO, Zachary Speith (Amanda) of Ava and Leah Cook (Blake) of Du Quoin; her great grandchildren, Brady, Jayna, Libby, Tyler, Shawna, Blake, Mary Kate, Aryana, Kyle, Evie, Zariah, Kale, Zayden, Eila, Ansley and Reece; and her sisters, Roberta Edgar of Ava and Melba Jean Bouas (Maurice) of Kansas City, MO. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Elkville Baptist Church (510 N 4th St, Elkville, IL 62932). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Friends may make memorials to Christian Activity Center in East St. Louis, IL, Marshall Browning Hospital Tree of Life, or Elkville Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
