It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Llona Jane Shurtz (Tamaroa, Illinois), born in Carbondale, Illinois, who passed away on December 21, 2019, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Loyd and Martha Jane Loyd (Cummings); her daughter Tammy Shurtz; her sisters, Judy Hill and Fayetta Chancey; her granddaughter Nichole Provart; and her great grandchild Dalton Howell.
She is survived by: her spouse Dahl Shurtz; her children, Daphne Whistler (Steve) of Troy, Tracy Davis (Mike) of Tamaroa, Danny Shurtz of Granite City, Aaron Shurtz of Tamaroa and Clinton Shurtz of Du Quoin; her grandchildren, Ashlee Howell, Joshua Provart and Jakob Shurtz; her great grandchildren, Kinlee Howell, Kase Howell, Ramzey Provart and Izzy Provart; her siblings, LaDonna Teel of Belleville, Sam Loyd (Shirley) of Pinckneyville and Leonard Loyd Jr. (Lynn) of Marissa; and her half-sister Levieta Fred of De Soto.
