He was predeceased by: his parents, John Szczepanski and Anna Szczepanski (Nowakowski); his wife Josephine E. Pijut; his son Michael Szczepanski; his daughter-in-law Terri Szczepanski; his brothers, Walter Szczepanski and Bill; his stepson Joe Szczepanski (Raymond); his sisters, Evelyn Geppert and Bernadine Geppert; and his brothers-in-law, Dominic Pijut, Pete Geppert and Tony Geppert.
He is survived by: his children, Lawrence Szczepanski, Jr. of Tamaroa, Cynthia Szczepanski of Alexandria, LA and Terry Szczepanski (Sheri Steele) of Tamaroa; and his sister-in-law Eleanor Pijut of Scheller. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Charles Catholic Church (223 S 3rd St, Du Bois, IL 62831). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Friends may make memorials to St. Charles Cemetery or Masses and will be accepted at the funeral home.
