He is survived by: his spouse Betty June Zeigler; his daughter Judy Samolinski (James) of Tamaroa; his grandsons, Robert Samolinski (Shannon) of Tamaroa, Chad Goforth (Jessica) and Matthew Goforth (Julie); his great grandchildren, Mary Samolinski of Tamaroa, Emily Vale of Norcross, GA, Griffin Vale of Carbondale and Julie Goforth; his great great grandchildren, Grace Vale and Aubrei Vale; and his siblings, Thomas Goforth of Brownsville, TX and Ceola Benedict of Sesser. He is also survived by his parents, wife.

“So very sorry to hear about Uncle Wayne's passing. To this day we still reminisce about family trips in the summer to come she Wayne and Aunt Betty, swimming in the lake, and of course fishing. Dad always talked fondly of Wayne, and both he and mom used to love when he would drive down to Florida to visit them. Annie, Maria and I all send our deepest sympathies to everyone there. Uncle Wayne will truly be missed. Kevin Ziegler”
