He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Richard and Mary Harris (Boismenue); his siblings, Sarah Bathon, Hosea Harris, Sr., Susie Ernest, Jennie Cizick and Captain Henry Harris; and his stepgreat-grandchild Chase Bauza.
He is survived by: his spouse Naomi Ruth Simon; his sons, Jeffrey Harris (Debra) of Tamaroa, James Harris (Jennifer) of Hainesport, NJ and Joel Harris (Sheila) of Radom, IL; his grandchildren, Brent Harris of Radom, Amy Harris of Radom, Brooke Harris of Radom and Luke Harris of Hainesport, NJ; his stepgrandchildren, Kent Fisher of Du Quoin, Brent Fisher of Du Quoin, Valerie Bauza of Posen, IL and Josh Fisher of Tamaroa; his brother William Harris of Mulkeytown, IL; and his brother-in-law Lawrence Bathon of Rice, IL. He is also survived by ten step great grandchildren.
