She was predeceased by: her parents, Willy Weidhuner and Mae Weidhuner; and her brother Richard Weidhuner. She is survived by: her husband Fred Markert; her children, Wil Baum (Jenny) of Greenview, Doug Baum (Tammy) of Kannapolis, NC and Julie Moeller (Rich) of Lee's Summit, MO; her sisters, Louetta Collins and Loretta Meyer; and her grandchildren, Jeremy Baum, JD Baum, Nicole Wernette, Melissa Moeller, John Moeller and Zach Moeller. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in LaVerne's name to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Concordia Village Scholarship Fund or donors' choice.
