He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Atterberry and Pauline Atterberry (McLaughlin); and his nephew Tim Kincaid. He is survived by: his wife Joan Moss of Tallula; his children, Mark Atterberry (Brenda) of Girard, Kevin Atterberry (Kristen) of Petersburg, Wendy Armstrong of Largo, Candy Davis (Stan) of Springfield, John T. Nance, Jr. (Tammie) of Kannapolis and Robert Ellis (Lindsey) of Petersburg; his sister Charlotte Kincaid (Victor) of Petersburg; and his cousin Jess Atterberry of Sherman. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
