He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas "Mike" Hermes and Margaret Hermes (Steen). He is survived by: his children, Sue Calvert (Alex) of Heyworth, IL, Dyann Dailey (Jim) of Foristell, MO, James Hermes, Jr. (Angie) of Peru, IL and Kate Ulmer (Matt) of Sherman, IL.; his grandchildren, Anna Rich (Craig), Jeannie Kelsey (Garrett), Evan Calvert (Lauren), Stephanie Dailey, Tommy Dailey, Tia Calvert, Sofia Calvert, Ella Hermes of Noah Hoffman, A. J and Jack Hermes; his great grandchildren, Ellie Rich and Lanie Calvert; and his siblings, Bill Hermes (Sylvia) of Bourbonnais, IL and Bonnie St (Ken).
