With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Ray Phillips of Sycamore, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 27, 2025 at the age of 67. Though William Ray may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those William Ray touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Phillips and Leona Phillips (Dienst). He is survived by: his sisters, Barbara Sanders (Stephen) of Hinckley, Illinois. and Beverly Larson (Roger) of Hinckley, Illinois.; his nieces and nephews, Nick Sanders of Seattle, Carolyn Wass (Erik) of Sugar Grove, Tony Sanders of Nashville, Tom Sanders of Denver and Jolee Larson of Minneapolis, Minnesota.; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Tucker and Tanner Wass of Sugar Grove, Illinois..
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Nash-Nelson Memorial Chapel (141 Maple St, Hinckley, IL 60520). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Oak Mound Cemetery (13657 Chicago Rd, Somonauk, IL 60552).
