It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Victoria Hansen of Sycamore, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on February 23, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Workowski and Anastasia Workowski (Ciciora); her husband Harold R. Hansen; and her brothers, Norbert, Emil and Edward.
She is survived by: her caregiver Corp; her children, David Hansen (Rosemary) of Hampshire, IL, William J. Hansen (Debra Grieve) of McHenry, IL., Barbara Petersen (Terry) of Burlington, IL, Diane Sheppard of Stone Lake, WI, Mary Hansen of Sycamore, Janice Baumgartner (Rich) of Elgin, IL and Joni Bird (Tracy) of Maryville, TN.; and her sister Evelyn Grechis of Charlotte, NC.. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Victoria Hansen Memorial to be established at a later date.
