With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Susan Zographos of Sycamore, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Susan left this world on April 16, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her father Frank Plantan; and her husband Richard Zographos. She is survived by: her daughter Michele Whisenhunt; her son-in-law Ben Whisenhunt; her son Steven Zographos; her grandchildren, Meredith Whisenhunt, Matthew Whisenhunt, Danielle Zographos, Zack Zographos, Owen Zographos and Veronica Yurchak; her mother Dorothy Buchmiller (Tutland); and her siblings, Lois Larson (Larry), Frank Plantan (Janet), Kathy Stutzman, Tom Plantan and Mike Plantan (June). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home (1405 Dekalb Ave, Sycamore, IL 60178). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (5006 E Wonder Lake Rd, Wonder Lake, IL 60097).
