She was predeceased by: her parents, James Monroe and Betty Monroe; and also Donald Ericson. She is survived by: her spouse Donald Ericson; her children, Robyn Harvey (Rob) of DeKalb, Amy Buhrow (Allyn) of Ashton and Tim (Hillary Neville); and her siblings, Kathleen Bolz (Barry) of Las Vegas, James Monroe (Taylor) of Lake Forest and Patricia Daly (Michael) of Hoffman Estates. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Tails Human Society to support the care of cats.
