He is survived by: his mother Mary Anne Young (Harms); his wife Barbara Lynn Boyles; his children, Richard David Young (Nicole), Shawn Jeffery Young (Shannon) and Heather Anne Allen (Matt); his grandchildren, Ada Quinn Young, Iain Kerr Young, Richard David Young, Amanda Hammon Young, Madison Lynn Allen and Colton James Allen (Heather Anne); and his siblings, Bob Young (Carol Ann), Terri Silvius and Steve Young (Betsy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Oaken Acres in Sycamore, Illinois in his name.
