It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Monica Lynn Mathiasen of Sycamore, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on February 22, 2024, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Lavice J. Mathiasen (Grissinger). She is survived by: her siblings, Mark A. Overmier (Mary) of Urbana, Illinois, Karen D. Overmier of Champaign, Illinois, Renee Brachear (Dan) of Littleton, Colorado, Gail E. Shaner (Don) of Winnebago, Illinois and Juliana M. Overmier (Timothy Murphy) of Edmond, Oklahoma.; her aunt Gerry Walker of Kankakee, Illinois; her uncle Burt Walker (June) of St. Charles, Illinois; and her niece Courtnay Brand (Alex) of Blacksburg, Virginia. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.
