He was predeceased by: his parents, Violet Doty and Myrle Doty; his stepmother Gertrude Doty; his brother Chuck; his nephew Kevin Dodson; and his brother-in-law Roy Dodson.
He is survived by: his spouse Sammie; his children, Stan (Terri), Alan (Cheryl) and Nita Teague (Don); and his sister Donna Dodson. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
