He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Vernon Nix and John Mortell. He is survived by: his parents, Linda Giese of Elburn and Michael Mortell (Patti) of Dixon; his brother Jared Mortell (Naomi) of Franklin Grove; his grandmothers, Tabatha Nix of Waterman and Dorothy Mortell of Hinckley; and also Amanda Kent of Sycamore.
