He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Haka and Eloise Haka. He is survived by: his wife Lana Fredrick; his stepson Bryan Fredrick (Margaret Peterson); his children, Suzanne Wilder (Bill), Joel Haka (Megan) and Josh Haka (Mary Morgan); and his grandsons, Justin Haka (Jill) and Jack Haka (Lisa Silao). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home (1405 Dekalb Ave, Sycamore, IL 60178). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sycamore United Methodist Church (160 Johnson Ave, Sycamore, IL 60178). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sycamore Vets Club.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Shriners International Hospitals or the Scottish Rite Hospitals.
