She was predeceased by: her son James Binder; her siblings, Jerry Peterson and Marjorie Haeffner; and the father of her children Ronald Binder. She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela "Pam" Mataragas (Dan) and Rhonda Ravani; her grandchildren, Nick Mataragas, Mike Mataragas (Heather), Evanthia Martin (Taylor), Hannah Ravani (Niccolo Piacentini), Mary Barnes (Bryan) and Kate Paulson (Jim); her great grandchildren, Ella, Oran, Bitsy, Daniel, Hugh and June; her brother Robert Peterson (Juanita); and her pet Shadow. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Salem Lutheran Church (1145 DeKalb Ave, Sycamore, IL 60178).
