Nelson of Sycamore, Illinois, born in Ashland, Mississippi, who passed away on August 8, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Nelson and Lemer Nelson (Lumpkins); his sons, Gerald Boyd Nelson and Edward C. Nelson; and his granddaughters, Nefritiri and Donna Nelson.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Nelson (Peggy) of Bella Vista, Brenda Lietzow (Rick) of Sycamore, IL and Bob Nelson (Natalie) of Carpentersville, IL; his siblings, Daphyne Parsons of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Donald Nelson of Brookland and Hershel Nelson (Linda) of Maldoen, MO; and also David. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-granddaughter.
