It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilberto Huerta Sr. of Sycamore, Illinois, born in Mercedes, Texas, who passed away on July 26, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elpidio and Aurora Huerta (Bernal). He is survived by: his wife Adela; and his children, Sylvia Huerta Villafuerte, Norma Huerta, Maria Luisa "Mary" Huerta, Gilberto Huerta Jr. and Julio Cesar Huerta. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
