She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Higgins and Doris Higgins (Guertin); her former husband Gib; and her sister April Luxton. She is survived by: her former husband Gilbert E. Seegers Jr.; her children, Annette Truitt (Kevin), Bruce Seegers (Kyla) and Stephanie Galligan (Shanan); her grandchildren, Ethan, Emma, Elliot, Chloe, Caitlin, Nora, Tess and Zoey; her spouse Hermon W. Holder; her stepchildren, Greg Holder, Tom Holder (Andrea) of DeKalb and Jenny Payton (Tim) of DeKalb; her siblings, Jeanne Maveus (Chuck) of Sycamore, Mark Higgins (Carol) of Colorado Springs and Marlene Gailbreath (Bill) of Madison; and her brother-in-law Paul Luxton of Sycamore. She is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Ellen J. Holder Memorial Fund, addressed to the Holder family in care of Anderson Funeral Home, Ltd.
