She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Emory and Leora Frances Thomas (Overton); her husband John C. Merchant; and her stepdaughter Sandy. She is survived by: her son Adam Merchant of Sycamore; her stepchildren, Michael Merchant (Cindy) and Debbie Lopez of Sycamore; and her siblings, Janice Rebhorn (Keith) of DeKalb and Jerry Thomas (Victoria) of Arizona. She is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
