He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Yaeger and Marcella Yaeger (Reinhardt); his wife Kathleen Carncross; his son John M. Yaeger; his grandson Andrew "Drew" Heinisch; and his siblings, William "Bill" Yaeger and Audrey Pugh.
He is survived by: his daughters, Catherine Canham (Kevin) of Springfield and Kimberly Heinisch (Daniel) of Sycamore; his grandchildren, Melody, Emily, Cassidy Canham, Morgan, Cole and Addison Heinisch; his brother Richard Yaeger (Doreen) of Palm Desert, California; and his sister-in-law Ruth Yaeger of Jefferson City, Missouri..
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church of DeKalb.
