He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Wig (Fillweber) and Chester Wig Sr.; his son Michael L. Wig; his grandson Jeremy Wig; his brother James Wig; his sister-in-law Grace Wig; his niece Cynthia A. Wig; and his brother-in-law Pat Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Georgia Wig; his children, David Wig, Daniel Wig (Tracy), Theresa Corrado (Paul), Timothy Wig (Kristi), Christine Wig, Steven Wig (Cynthia) and Jeffery Wig (Geni); his daughter-in-law Laura Wig; and his sister Susan Baker. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
