With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol Gates (Sycamore, Illinois), born in Hillsboro, Illinois, who passed away on October 12, 2019 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dale Carlock and Ruth Carlock (Marsh); her brother Mike Casey; and her nieces and nephews, Heather Porter, Brenda Carlock, Brock Smith and Dustin Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Bill "Butch" Gates; her children, Sherry Maldonado Gates, Billy Gates (Sheri) and Tracie Veliz (Lito); her sister Linda Elliott (Keith); and her sister-in-law Teresa Casey. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to her family in care of the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL. 60178.
