It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Ann Cook Weiss of Sumner, Illinois, born in Lawrenceville, Illinois, who passed away on October 16, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Roy and Vinnie Cook (Gilliatt); her husband Frank E. Weiss; and her siblings, Genelle Lanker, Dale Cook, Bill Cook, Jack Cook, Dee Cook and Joseph Cook.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Weiss (Delores) of Sumner, Illinois, Mark Weiss (Kassie) of Sumner, Illinois and Lisa Curts (Joe) of Sumner, Illinois; her grandchildren, Kaeli Bell (Jacob), Macee Hill (Isaac), Kierstin Billingsley (Eli), Sydney Curts (Joey Hartz), Kazia Frederick and Briley Frederick; and her great grandchildren, Brenden Mattingly, Lilly Bell and Ellie Bell.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, October 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home (509 S Christy Ave, Sumner, IL 62466).
