He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Wortman and Mary Wortman; his wife Violet Utsler; and his siblings, John Wortman and Mary Lou Cole.

He is survived by: his children, Barbara Maxwell (Michael) of Cape Coral, Larry Wortman (Tatyana) of Ft. Branch and Michael Wortman of Sumner; his granddaughters, Amanda Carter and Jennifer Maxwell; and his great grandchildren, Aylia Carter and Cadence Lee.
