He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Chester Harold Allen and Betty Belcher Allen of Bridgeport; his wife Julie Baines; his sons, William "Bill" Allen (Beth) and Jacob Allen (Erin); his brother Harold Ray Allen; his niece Sheika Al-Khuzaei; his sister Rebekah VanGrinsven; his brother-in-law Tom VanGrinsven; his grandsons, Brett, Jordan and Justin; his stepgrandson Mason Jones; and his siblings, John, Robert Allen of Bridgeport, Deborra Allen of Bridgeport and Donna. He was also cherished by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions can be made to the family to offset medical and funeral costs.
